Teeth Bleaching

Bleaching involves treating the teeth with a safe, effective prescription oxidizing or bleaching agent to lessen or eliminate stains.

The causes of tooth discoloration are many. The most common include aging, consumption of staining substances like coffee or tea, trauma, tetracycline staining, excessive fluoride, nerve degeneration and old restorations. Once the cause of your tooth discoloration is determined, we can recommend which whitening system will work best for you.

Bleaching requires only a few simple steps and can be initiated in one visit. Impressions are taken of your teeth from which a mouthguard is made. A tooth whitening gel is dispensed into the mouthguard and then placed over your teeth for one to two hours a day for six days to six weeks.
